SciCo is delighted to announce its participation in the MARCH (MAke science Real in sCHools) network along with the British Council and a team of distinguished partners from the UK (British Science Association), Germany (Jungvornweg), Bulgaria (Forum Demokrit), Portugal (Ciência Viva), Serbia (Centre for Science and Art Promotion), Lithuania (Education Development Centre) and Greece (Educational Radio-Television Directorate).
The purpose of the network is to promote European cooperation and innovation in Science Education for secondary schools and to establish a multi-sectoral forum for reflection and knowledge sharing on relating issues.
So far MARCH has published an empirical study on the state of the art in science education in the seven participating countries that can be found here:
In addition, a series of innovation swap workshops has been completed in both national and international level that aimed to collect good practices in teaching science with the participation of teachers and students.
The next step of the programme includes pilots in schools! If you wish to bring MARCH to your school, please visit: www.sciencemarch.eu
